The aim of my blog is to publish reflections on politics and related phenomena on the go, to be further reflected on - either on the blog, over the email or where ever the readers may be.

As a researcher of politics, with a specialisation on Hungary and the Central and Eastern Europe, as well as discourse theory, I feel it important to ponder on these issues publically. Perhaps it will be interesting and useful for others too. Perhaps I would get challenging, enlightening and even at times supporting comments.

In spring 2006, I am working at the Collegium Budapest, following the Hungarian general elections there. This is, therefore, the first theme of the blog. The posts dating prior to 19 April 2006 are republished from my Finnish blog: http://epalonen.vuodatus.net
